10,000 years ago the planet was ruled by koiju that took the form of fish and dragons but they suddenly went into hibernation, hiding themselves from the world. Some still remain awake, invisible to the naked eye. Recent developments in technology has allowed for the production of large mech suits, capable of seeing them for the first time.

These monolithic creatures are commonly behind what many people refer to as natural disasters, their very movements causing destruction, tornadoes and tsunamis in their wake.

It is your mission and duty as a pilot to get in the robot and either investigate or slay the dragon that has set a course for a now futuristic Japan, causing many to panic, thinking this may bring upon the end of their world.
